Our History
Serving the Metroplex since 1985.
Telecom Electric Supply Company was founded by Fred Moses in 1985. Fred had spent 11 years working for General Electric, where he was promoted into the position of Operations Manager at one of their facilities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He moved to the Dallas, Texas area, as Operations Manager for General Electric in the early 80’s.
Expertise
As often happens with entrepreneurial experiences, Fred was presented with the opportunity to start his own company with a contract that essentially used his unique, trained expertise. Thus, Telecom Electric Supply Company (now known as TES) was launched.
The company became a wholesale distributor of electrical and telecommunications products. We provided traditional services including purchasing, stocking and shipping of electrical products to customers. Our biggest customers were in the utilities and telecommunications industries.
In 1986 as the business continued to grow and add clients, TES moved into office space that included a warehouse. By 1992, the growth required even larger space and TES moved into its current location.

TES Founders
Both born in South Carolina, and then both moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut. It’s easy to see that Fred and Mazzie were destined for great things together. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport with BA Degree in Marketing and an associate degree in business management from Housatonic Community College, Fred spent his entire career in the electrical supply industry. Starting with General Electric Supply Company in finance and operations, he later became fascinated with the idea of being an entrepreneur.
Mazzie’s professional career began as an Administrative Assistant with AVCO in Bridgeport. When they moved to Plano in 1980, she had continued to build her background in Personnel/Employee Relations and various other administrative roles with ARCO Oil and Gas.
In 1985, after giving the sales pitch of his life, Fred formed Telecom Electric Sales Company using the couple’s life savings. Recognizing the need to pivot, the company went from a telecommunications focus to a wholesale distribution of electrical supplies, along with a name change, Telecom Electric Supply (better known as TES). In 1986, Fred made the most important hire in Telecom history. Mazzie joined TES and 40+ years later the company continues to carry on their legacy. Fred was very active in the community. He was a Trustee for the University of Bridgeport and Collin College.

In 1997, the Plano Chamber of Commerce recognized Mazzie with the Athena Award, an honor that is given to women for their outstanding service and dedication to Plano and the surrounding communities. Mazzie earned the Unsung Hero Award in 2012 from the WBE (Women’s Business Enterprise) Hall of Fame for her contributions and commitment to Telecom Electric Supply’s numerous awards and recognitions. Collin College recognized Fred and Mazzie as Living Legends in 2006. This recognition is given for contributions to Collin County and for exemplifying the college’s core values of Learning, Service and Involvement, Creativity and Innovation, Academic Excellence, Dignity and Respect, and Integrity.

Fred B. Moses is President at TES, where he is responsible for the strategic direction and daily operation of the company. Fred B. started working at Telecom Electric Supply on weekends and over the summer when he was 12. His dad would often sit him down in front of a computer and have him type letters. As he grew older, he was introduced to more areas of the business:

Fred B. returned to the family business where he valued the integrity and professionalism established by his father. Fred B.’s leadership philosophy is based upon accountability and providing quality service. He understands the importance of having the right processes and people in place to build beneficial relationships that are based on the ability to listen, adapt and execute client expectations.

Fred B. has a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University and a B.A. from Sam Houston State University. He is an alumni member of Delta Mu Delta, an international business honors society. Fred B. is a big fan of movies and most things scifi.

With a degree in Business Administration and over 20 years of experience in financial analysis, Christy brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Her ability to analyze financial reports enables her to recommend cost-effective strategies that drive revenue growth and improve overall business performance.

Originally from Atlanta, Ga, Lateasha started her journey with TES in 2016 where she came in as part of our Client Services team.
Her hard work and dedication landed her a promotion as Client Services Manager in 2017, as she took on the role and responsibility of managing deliveries and orders for our largest client.
In 2020, Lateasha attended Upper Iowa University gaining more knowledge and expertise in Business Management.
In 2024, Lateasha’s diligence and detailed orientation proved reliable as she was promoted to General Manager.

Wayne White is a Dallas native having grown up in what is now referred to as the “M” Streets. He graduated from North Dallas High School and received his BBA from Southern Methodist University in 1976.
